Series or Episode Recording

You can choose to record one episode or all future episodes of a series. If recording a series, UX3 will even look for reruns of earlier episodes and record those as well.

Schedule Recordings

Schedule your recordings up to 7 days in advance. Highlight a program in the TV Guide and simply press the RECORD button.

Retrieve Recordings

Your recordings are found in My Now > Recordings where you can also manage your scheduled recordings.

Instant Recordings

Press the RECORD button on the remote control to begin recording a live TV channel immediately.

Recording Options

Manage your recording options at Home > Settings > TV Recording Settings.
Note: Recording is currently available with Now One. Coming soon to other select Now TV set top boxes.

Recording and Control Live TV functions are available to customers having subscribed to TV recording services and using a designated external hard disk.*

How many hard disks can I connect to the STB?

Only one. Every time you connect a hard disk to STB, you will be asked which device you want to pair. The hard disk will then be automatically formatted.

What is the name/model number of the hard disk drive compatible with Now One/6950/6962?

Now Hard Disk Drive (HDD) – model number: VG-AHDD05A.

Schedule a recording

UX3 interface can record any channel?

It will record any live HD or SD channel (not VOD) you have subscribed to, except the following:

Adult Channel: Ch 900 – 903

Barker Channel: Ch 010 (DTT channel index), Ch 106 (VEF preview channel)), Ch 129, Ch 168 (MOOV preview channel), Ch 400 (Watch ‘n Learn Preview Channel), Ch 600 (Sports Schedule Highlights)

Other Channel : 535 (Netflix)、Ch.650、Ch.651

Do I need to tune into the channel while recording?

You can switch to other channels while recording, depending on your network connectivity.

How do I set up and record a TV series?

Series or Episode Recording

You can choose to record one episode or all future episodes of a series. If recording a series, UX3 will even look for reruns of earlier episodes and record those as well.

Go to “TV Guide”, “Coming Up” or “My Now”, select the program and press the RECORD key (⚫) on your remote control. You will then be asked to record an episode or a series.

* Keep your set-top box powered up or in standby mode when making scheduled/series recordings.

Where can I find my recordings?

At My Now > Recordings > Recorded.

Recording conflict

How many channels can I record at a time?

Depending on your network connectivity, you can record up to:

PON
1 DTT channel and 2 Now TV channels while viewing one of the recording channels

Non PON
1 DTT channel and 1 Now TV channel while viewing one of the recording channels

If two recordings are in progress, what will happen if another scheduled recording is about to start?

UX3 will alert you when there is a conflict in recording. If you do not respond accordingly, it will switch to:

Instant Recording > Single Program Recording > Series Recording.

For series recording, UX3 will automatically look for the next re-run (if available) and record for you

Why do I sometimes get an alert to a scheduling conflict on screen?

Whenever a recording conflict is detected, UX3 will prompt you about your options. If you do not respond accordingly, it will follow the default priority for recording:

Instant Recording > Single program Recording > Series Recording In the case of recording a series, Now One will automatically look for the next re-run (if available) and reschedule the recording for you.

Will I be alerted to scheduled recording failures?

No. If your scheduled recording is not available at My Now > Recordings > Recorded, please go to My Now > Recordings > Scheduled for details.
