You will need a:
- Now TV line served by high-speed broadband (PON)
- Now One STB
- 4K plan
- TV/home theater system is compatible with an HDCP 1.1 HDMI port (for Netflix 4K & content requiring HDCP 2.2 protection, you need a 4K UHD TV set that supports HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0).
How can I tune an appropriate frame rate for Now One 4K video output?
- Press the “Home” button on the remote control to bring up the user interface home screen, then select “Settings” and press “Video Settings”.
- Choose “Video Output Format” and select 2160p50 first.
- If the confirmation page shows onscreen and the video plays properly, press the red button and confirm. If you cannot view the confirmation page, please wait a few moments.

What is 4K resolution? And what's the difference between 4K Ultra HD and Full HD?
4K is an overarching term to describe visual resolution technology that offers more pixels than Full HD. 4K resolution is 3,840 x 2,160 and the number of pixels is four times that of Full HD, so picture quality is much better.
4K quality delivered by Now One is 4K Ultra HD (4K UHD), a much higher standard. As well as providing 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, it needs to comply with the HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 standards. HDMI 1.x only supports 4K@25/30Hz, but HDMI 2.0 supports up to 4K@ 50/60Hz, thereby improving picture quality for fast-motion video. HDCP 2.2 is a technology designed to prevent illegal copying of 4K UHD content. Now One is HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 certified.
In order to ensure you can watch all 4K content, we recommend that you choose a TV set and set-top box that support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2.
What do I need to stream 4K Ultra HD content with my Now One?
To enjoy the full 4K Ultra HD experience, please notice:
- Your Now One must be connected to a compatible 4K Ultra HD TV
- Your 4K TV or Home Theater must have an HDCP 2.2 HDMI port
- Hi-Speed HDMI Cable is recommended
HDCP 2.2 is the copy protection technology that the movie and television studios have agreed upon, and require, in order to allow Netflix and other streaming services to deliver 4K Ultra HD content. You may need to refer to your TV’s user manual, as some manufacturers limit 4K Ultra HD streaming to certain HDMI inputs.
If you have met all of the above requirements and are still having issues viewing 4K content on your Now One, please contact Samsung Support.
