1. What on-demand services are provided by Now TV?
Now TV provides many types of on-demand programming* such as drama, entertainment, leisure, kids’ content, news/ info, sports and movies. Please click here for a list of on-demand libraries.
2. When will videos be uploaded to the Now TV website?
Videos will be uploaded within 24 hours of their TV broadcast.
3. When will videos be removed from Now TV?
Off-shelf time varies from program to program. Please refer to the corresponding program detail page for the exact off-shelf date.
4. Can I download videos from the Now TV website?
No, you are not able to download video from the Now TV website.
5. Why am I not able to watch Now TV on-demand while overseas?
Some videos cannot be watched outside Hong Kong because of licensing issues.
6. How many screens I can watch on with my Now ID simultaneously?
You could use one Now ID to login Now TV with multiple devices. Each Now ID could watch live or on demand content at the same time on no more than two devices (including phone and tablet) / computer(s). However, only one device can stream Now Video Express programs each time.
* On-demand programs for MOOV and Viu Premium are available on Now TV set top box only.
Channel
1. What live channels can I watch on Now TV?
Now TV provides many types of live channels such as drama, entertainment, documentaries, kids’ content, news/ info and sports. Please click here for a list of live channels.
2. Why am I not able to watch Now TV’s live channels while overseas?
Some channels cannot be watched outside Hong Kong because of licensing issues.
3. Will Now TV’s live channels synchronize with those on TV? Are there any commercials?
Now TV’s live channels synchronize with those on TV, though there may be 30 to 40 seconds’ latency from the Now TV website depends on network condition. Commercials do appear on Now TV’s live channels, same as TV.
4. How many screens I can watch on with my Now ID simultaneously?
You could use one Now ID to login Now TV with multiple devices. Each Now ID could watch live or on demand content at the same time on no more than two devices (including phone and tablet) / computer(s). However, only one device can stream Now Video Express programs each time.
Multiple User Profile
1. What is the Multiple User Profile* function?
It allows you to keep track of your own “Watchlist”, “History” and “Favorite Channels”. See menus and recommendations personalized for you. One Now TV account serves up to five users.
2. How do I create/ edit/ copy a user profile?
Click the icon at the top after logging into your Now TV account, and follow instructions to create, edit or copy user profile.
3. How many users can I create?
Up to five users per Now TV account.
4. Can I lock my profile?
Profile lock is not supported in Multiple User Profile function. But you may use our “Parental lock” to prevent children from watching unauthorized programs containing adult content or specific channels, on-demand and recorded programs.
5. How do I switch between users?
Click the icon at the top after logging into your Now TV account, and select the relevant user.
6. I am asked to set up my 1st user upon login. Can I choose not to create the first user?
If you do not create the first user, you will share Watchlist, History & Favorite Channels with family members. You are highly recommended to start your personalized TV experience from the customized Home Screen, user language settings, favorite channel list, program recommendations and resuming program from where you left off.
7. If I do not create a profile now, will I lose all the History, Watchlist and Favorite Channels?
No. Your History, Watchlist and Favorite Channels will not be removed, even if you do not have a user profile. The system will keep your viewing history and records, until you create your first user. All your viewing history will transfer to your default User profile.
However, you will share Watchlist, History & Favorite Channels with your family members. You are highly recommended to start your personalized TV experience from the customized Home Screen, user language settings, favorite channel list, program recommendations and resuming program from where you left off.
8. What does the tick [✓] on the Home Screen mean?
Popular movies and shows from your channel subscriptions will be added to the home screen. You’ll see rows of your subscribed programs marked with a tick [✓]. Watch as much as you’d like.
* Multiple User Profile function is not available for free-viewing users (who have not subscribed to Now TV paid content).
Subscription & Now ID
1. Do I have to pay to watch live channels or on-demand videos on Now TV?
Users are responsible for any data transmission costs incurred while using Now TV and connecting with Now TV service via the Internet or its website. Certain content is available only to Now TV customers subscribing to certain plans. Users may have to subscribe to the channel/ package and pay a monthly fee to access content. Certain free-viewing content is also available on Now TV for all logged-in users.
Free-viewing content* (Available for all users):
You can enjoy 22 free channels, including Now News Channel (ch. 332), Now Sports Prime (ch. 630), Now Sports Highlights, and the first 3 episodes of dramas from Now Chinese Drama (ch. 105). These content are free to watch in Hong Kong. It is not necessary to be a Now TV customer (who subscribed for Now TV paid content) to watch these content, but users are required to log in with Now ID.

2. Can I subscribe to TV channels via Now TV?

3. What is Now ID? How to apply for a Now ID?
Now ID is a login credential used for accessing the Now TV service. It can be either your email address (for Now TV set top box users) or mobile number (for users with no Now TV set top boxes). All users can apply for a Now ID for free.
• For Now TV set top box users: Certain content on Now TV requires a Now ID connection. A Now ID connection connects Now ID with a TV decoder, allowing you to enjoy the Now TV service you have subscribed to on Now TV App / Website.

4K Subscription
1. What is a 4K subscription entitled for?
4K subscription entitles Now TV customers to enjoy 4K content exclusively over the Set-Top Box. For Now TV customers without a Set-Top Box, all 4K-supported content is accessible on the Now TV App/Website and Now TV Smart TV Apps.
All Now TV customers, whether with a Set-Top Box or not, can stream all 4K-supported content, including sports linear channels, On Demand, “Now Video Express” programs and some 4K-supported entertainment VOD (e.g. Now True, Now Studio) on the Now TV App/Website and Now TV Smart TV Apps. However, a 4K subscription is required to view 4K content via the Set-Top Box.
2. What 4K content can I find on Now TV, and where can I watch it?
All Now TV customers, whether with a Set-Top Box or not, can stream all 4K-supported content, including sports linear channels, On Demand, “Now Video Express” programs and some 4K-supported entertainment VOD (e.g. Now True, Now Studio) on the Now TV App/Website and Now TV Smart TV Apps. However, to view 4K content via the Set-Top Box, a 4K subscription is necessary.
For linear channels that support 4K quality playback, you will find a 4K label on its channel logo. For On Demand / “Now Video Express” content that supports 4K quality playback, you will find a 4K label on its detail page.
3. How can I set up video playback for 4K quality on Now TV App/Website?
To set up 4K video playback, follow the steps below:
1. Go to Now TV App/Website
2. In the “Settings”, set up “Streaming Quality” at “Best Quality – Up to 4K*”
3. For a smoother streaming experience, you may consider enabling the “Always Use Best Quality on Wi-Fi” option
Once the setup is complete, when you play a linear channel or on-demand video which 4K is available, it will automatically be displayed in 4K resolution.
*Important information about 4K quality playback:
• Support for 4K video varies among mobile devices and network bandwidth. If your device doesn’t support 4K, video will stream up to high bit-rate Full HD.
• Even if your mobile device doesn’t support 4K, casting 4K video to compatible 4K TV’s and devices is supported.
• 4K video is available for selected content and channels only.
• The quality of video may change as you watch subject to your network conditions.
4. How can I tell if the content supports 4K quality?
Linear channels offering 4K quality playback will display a 4K label on their channel logos. For On Demand / “Now Video Express” content that supports 4K quality playback, you will find a 4K label on its detail page.
5. How can I tell if the content I’m watching is in 4K quality?
If the video displays in 4K quality, a 4K UHD watermark will briefly display in the top left corner of the video player for around 5 seconds once you start playing it. However, the resolution may be downgraded to 1080p or lower based on device and network conditions.

6. What do I need to do to watch 4K content via Now TV App/Website?
You need to:
• Use a mobile data network or a LAN/Wi-Fi network that meets the minimum bandwidth requirements (25 Mbps) to enjoy an optimal viewing experience
• Now TV website:
A PC with a Windows 10 operating system that supports High Efficiency Video Coding (H.265), has an HEVC video extension installed and uses the Microsoft Edge browser (Chromium version) to play the 4K content. Please also use a TV set or computer monitor with 4K display resolution.
• Now TV app (mobile or tablet):
– Android: Designated mobile handset with 4K video playback capability. (4K video streaming varies significantly between handset models)
– iOS: There are no Apple mobile or tablet devices equipped with 4K screen yet, hence the iOS version of mobile app does not support 4K playback on Apple mobile or tablet devices.
• Cast screen function:
– Chromecast: Please use a device with Chromecast that supports High Efficiency Video Coding (H.265) to cast the content to a TV set or computer monitor with 4K display resolution.
– AirPlay: Please use your Apple device to cast the content to a Apple TV 4K or AirPlay-2-compatible 4K TV. Please go to Apple website for more details.
The stability and quality of video streaming depends on and will be affected by the condition of the devices, the internet bandwidths and internet connection speed, device compatibility and various factors. The quality of the video may change as you watch subject to your network conditions.
7. What do I need to do to watch 4K content via Now TV Set-Top Box?
You need to:
– Subscribe to the 4K Subscription service
– Have a Now TV Set-Top Box
8. What is 4K resolution? And what’s the difference between 4K Ultra HD and Full HD?
4K is an overarching term to describe visual resolution technology that offers more pixels than Full HD. 4K resolution is 3,840 x 2,160 and the number of pixels is four times that of Full HD, so picture quality is much better.
Manage Devices
1. What is “Manage Devices” about? What does it mean to have a maximum of 5 devices registered? What happens if I attempt to play content from a 6th device?
When you first watching / downloading with a device, it will be automatically registered and displayed in the “Manage Devices” section under Settings / My Account on the following platforms:
- Now TV App/Website (“Manage Devices” is under Settings)
- Now TV Smart TV Apps (“Manage Devices” is under Settings)
- Now TV Shop website (“Manage Devices” is under My Account)
Each Now ID account can register up to 5 devices at a time^. If you attempt to play or download content from a 6th device (having 5 devices already registered), you will be prompted to remove a device from the “Manage Devices” before being able to watch or download again. Please note that you can remove your registered devices up to 12 times per year.

2. How many times can I change the registered devices?
You are allowed to change your registered devices up to 12 times per year. Once you start using a device for watching or downloading, it becomes automatically registered, and the device registration quota is set to 12 times annually, starting from the date of the initial device registration.

For example, if you initially used a device for watching (namely firstly registered a device) on 1 September 2024, you will have 12 quotas to change your registered devices between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025. The device registration quota will reset to 12 times on 1 September 2025.
3. How many devices can I use for watching or downloading programme at the same time?
Each Now ID account can register up to 5 devices at a time^, and concurrently stream or download from up to 2 of those.

4. Do the “Multiple User Profile” under my account share the same registered devices limit mentioned above?
Yes. The above-mentioned registered devices limit applies to each Now ID account, including the “Multiple User Profile” (each Now ID account can have up to five profiles). Thus, the registered device limit is shared among all users under a single Now ID account, which allows for registering up to 5 devices at a time, changing devices up to 12 times a year, and concurrently streaming or downloading from up to 2 of those.

5. How can I remove a registered device after receiving the “Oops. Too Many Devices!” error message?
You can visit “Manage Devices” section in “Settings / My Account” through Now TV App/Website, Now TV Smart TV Apps (via QR code) and Now TV Shop website, where you will find a list of your registered devices, each with a name such as iPhone, Web, the model of the Android device and TV device, etc. Next to each registered device, you will see a “Remove” button.

To remove a registered device, simply click on the “Remove” button corresponding to the device you wish to remove, meanwhile it will consume the device registration quota once.
6. If I watch Now TV content using different browsers (e.g. Chrome and Safari) at the same time, will it be registered as 2 devices?
No, all web browsers would be registered as 1 device, with the device name “Web”.
Mature Content Lock
1. What is Mature Content Lock? I have a family member under the age of 18. How do I restrict access to adult content?
Mature Content Lock prevents children from watching unauthorized programs containing adult content. You must not allow any person under 18 years of age to view programs featuring adult content.
Now TV locks programs containing adult content by default. You can unlock it by entering a Now ID password every time you want to watch such a program. Please secure your Now ID password and do not disclose it to anyone under 18 years of age.
Video Express
1. What is Now Video Express?
Now Video Express provides the latest movies from Hollywood, Asian and also world class concerts and operas on a pay-per-view basis. Unlimited viewing within 48 hours (except selected programs) following purchase and viewers can pause, fast forward or rewind a program anytime.
2. How many times can I view a program purchased from Now Video Express?
You can view the program as many times you like within 48 hours (except selected programs) of purchase.
3. How many program types are provided by Now Video Express?
Apart from Hollywood and Asian movies, Now Video Express also provides foreign language drama, concerts and opera.
4. Is there a fixed term for purchasing Now Video Express program(s)?
No.
5. Can I view Now Video Express program(s) on my personal computer, when the program(s) are purchased from the TV portal (with the remote control)?
You can use your connected personal computer to view your chosen Now Video Express program any time within the 48-hours period by using your Now ID, starting from the time you place an order for the viewing of such a program from the TV portal. 6. Can my Now TV set top box be connected to more than one personal computer in order to view the Now Video Express programs purchased?
No.
7. I am viewing a program purchased from Now Video Express on TV. Can my family members view such a program, or other programs purchased from Now Video Express, through an online computer at the same time?
Yes, you can view the Now Video Express program on both your online personal computer with Now ID connection # and the TV portal (ch 106) at the same time.
8. Can I purchase/ view Now Video Express program(s) on different mobile devices/computer?
Yes, you can. You can purchase/ view Now Video Express program(s) on a personal computer or mobile devices (including IOS and Android smartphones or tablet(s) with Now ID connection.
9. Where can I view the purchased Now Video Express program(s)?
- For Now TV Set-Top Box users: Purchased Now Video Express program(s) are available for viewing on the TV + 1 mobile device^ (Smartphone or Tablet) or 1 personal computer^.
- For users without Now TV Set-Top Box: Purchased Now Video Express programs(s) are available for viewing on Now TV Smart TV App(s) + 1 personal computer* when the program(s) are purchased on Now TV Smart TV App(s) or on Now TV Website. If you purchase Now Video Express program(s) from the Now TV Website, you can only view them via the Now TV Website.
- For free-viewing users (who have not subscribed to Now TV paid content): Sorry, you have to subscribe to Now TV paid content in the first place in order to purchase / view Now Video Express program(s).

11. Do I need to register mobile devices (smartphones or tablets) when I purchase Now Video Express programs? Do I need to register it every time?
You need to enter a name for your mobile devices for the first time of purchasing the Now Video Express programs. You need to register it for once only.
12. Can I download the purchased program(s) to mobile device?
No, it only supports streaming service.
13. Can I select different audio to view the program(s) purchased from Now Video Express?
Yes, you can select any available audio for viewing. (Please note: only some programs provide different audio).
14. Can I choose “Pay Directly”/ “Rent Now” (The transaction amount will be shown on Now TV bill in the following month) to view some Now Video Express programs, even I have sufficient Now Dollars value in my account?
No, you must use Now Dollars to pay to view Now Video Express programs if you have sufficient unused Now Dollars in your account.
15. I would like to purchase programs from Now Video Express, however, I don’t have sufficient Now Dollars. What should I do?
If you don’t have sufficient Now Dollars, you could choose “Rent Now” to purchase the programs from Now Video Express. The transaction amount will be shown on Now TV bill in the following month. You may also purchase Now Dollars from the TV portal, Now TV or nowplayer.now.com.
Now Dollars
1. What is Now Dollars*?
Now Dollars can be used to purchase On Demand pay-per-view programs. Customers can use it to purchase Now Video Express (ch 106) programs and AV PPV (ch 900) program(s) for viewing on a prepaid basis, and they can enjoy latest programs at a discounted rate.
2. How many denominations can Now Dollars be purchased?
Now Dollars comes in 3 prepaid values: $100, $200 and $300.
3. What is the validity period of Now Dollars?
- $100 Now Dollars is valid for three months.
- $200 Now Dollars is valid for six months.
- $300 Now Dollars is valid for six months.
4. Can I use Now Dollars immediately after its purchase?
Customers can use Now Dollars immediately after purchasing via the Now TV portal or nowplayer.now.com. Now Dollars is valid for three or six months (depending on its value), starting from the date of purchase. Any unused Now Dollars value will be forfeited after expiry of the validity period.
5. If my Now Dollars expires tomorrow, and I top up Now Dollars today, will there be two different validity periods for my purchased Now Dollars?
No, Now Dollars has a validity period of three or six months (depending on the Now Dollars value). If you top up your Now Dollars value before the validity period expires, the validity period will be extended for an additional three or six months (depending on the Now Dollars value of your top up), starting from the date of the top up.
6. Can my Now Dollars be refunded if my subscription to Now TV is terminated for whatever reason?
Your Now Dollars will be forfeited if your subscription to Now TV is terminated for whatever reason.
7. How can I check the expiry date and remaining balance or top up my Now Dollars value?

8. Can I use Now Dollars to settle my Now TV monthly fee?
No. You cannot exchange Now Dollars for cash, nor use them for anything other than for paying to view On Demand pay-per-view service programs which include programs on Now Video Express (ch 106) and AV PPV (ch 900).
9. How will you charge me if I buy Now Dollars?
You will be billed for the purchase of Now Dollars in your next Now TV bill, following purchase.
10. How much discount can I get if I use Now Dollars to pay to view Now Video Express programs?
If you buy Now Dollars, you will be given additional Now Dollars. For example, we will give additional $10 Now Dollars if you buy $100 Now Dollars. This translates into a discount of 10% when you pay to view your programs.
11. Can I choose to pay directly to view On Demand pay-per-view service programs which include programs on Now Video Express (ch 106) and AV PPV (ch 900), even I have sufficient Now Dollars value in my account?
No, you must use Now Dollars to pay to view On Demand pay-per-view service programs which includes programs on Now Video Express (ch 106) and AV PPV (ch 900), if you have sufficient unused Now Dollars in your account.
12. Apart from the Now TV portal and nowplayer.now.com, are there any other ways to purchase Now Dollars?
You can purchase Now Dollars via the hotline, retail shops, service centers or a direct salesperson.
* Now Dollars are only applicable for Now TV set top box users, and they are for selected program(s) only.

Technical Requirements
1. What are the basic system requirements for Now TV?
For the best user experience, it is suggested to use the latest version of Google Chrome or Safari on personal computer to access the Now TV website.
Now TV APP
1. How to download the “Now TV” App?
For iPhone or iPad users: search “Now TV” in App Store.
For Android users: search “Now TV” in Google Play.
2. Do I need to pay for “Now TV” App?
“Now TV” App is a free app and Now TV does not charge you for download. However, please note that user is responsible for any data costs incurred during download of the app via Internet connection or mobile devices (including mobile phones and tablet PC).
3. I have already logged in with Now ID. Why can’t I watch videos on “Now TV” App with my mobile device?
It may be due to:
- Your mobile device (including mobile phone and tablet PC) does not support “Now TV” App service;
- Your mobile device is not connected to a mobile data network e.g. 4G or 3G or WiFi
4. Sometimes only audio is available on “Now TV” App without video, or the video does not synchronize with the audio content. Why is that?
Video quality depends on the signal received. Unstable signal coverage will lead to the captioned problems. If it continues, please contact your mobile network operator.
5. Will mobile data be consumed when watching channels/ videos on “Now TV” App?
When users are watching videos under mobile network other than a Wi-Fi network, mobile data will be consumed. For the csl/1O1O/Club Sim postpaid users, data usage will be waived on the “Now TV” App. Users should keep track of their data usage. If you have any questions about your data usage and charges, please contact your mobile network operator.
6. Can’t play programs through “Now TV” App, how to solve this matter?
Please ensure your iOS/ Android device is equipped with the listed requirements and the iOS/Android is original and unmodified. Besides, the error messages should give a reason for the failure.
7. How is the data consumption when using “Now TV” App through mobile devices?
Playing videos on screen or continuous data transmission will consume certain power on your mobile device. It is suggested not to have too many applications running simultaneously to avoid high power consumption.
8. Are the content of linear channels and on demand the same on “Now TV” App and Now TV?
Users can directly watch most of the channels and on demand content through “Now TV” App. For the remaining content, you could send your content to a bound Now ID set top box through your mobile device to continue to watch on TV.
9. How many screens I can watch on with my Now ID simultaneously?
You could use one Now ID to login Now TV with multiple devices. Each Now ID could watch live or on demand content at the same time on no more than two devices (including phone and tablet) / computer(s). However, only one device can stream Now Video Express programs each time.
10. How do I know if I am an UX3 interface user or not?
Simply press the “Home” button with your set top box’s remote control, if you could find “My Now”, it means that you are an UX3 interface user.
11. I am a non UX3 interface user, could I enjoy the functions of the new “Now TV” App?
You can enjoy most of the functions and features of “Now TV” App. Only a few functions such as “Saved”, “TV Recording” functions and part of the remote control keys are for UX3 interface which is not applicable to you.
12. What is mean by synchronize with UX3 interface?
For the new “Now TV” App, some of the features such as “My Now” > ”Watchlist” and “History” are also features for UX3 interface. These features can be synchronized with your set top box of UX3 interface.
13. Can I find any unsubscribed channels or content at “Now TV”App? Why some programme titles are in grey colour?
Unsubscribed channel and content will be grayed out and you would still be eligible to search for unsubscribed channels and content program details. You can also subscribe to TV channels via Live Chat on “Now TV” App.
Now TV Subscription & Now ID
1. Do I have to pay to watch live channels or on demand videos on “Now TV”? Is there any free content? If I am a Now TV customer. What can I watch?
Users are responsible for any data transmission costs incurred using “Now TV” App and connecting “Now TV” App service to the Internet or mobile devices. Certain content is only available to Now TV customers holding specific subscription plans. Users may have to subscribe to a channel/package for a monthly fee in order to access content. Certain free-viewing content is also available on Now TV for all logged-in users.
Free-viewing content* (Available for all users):
You can enjoy 22 free channels, including Now News Channel (ch. 332), Now Sports Prime (ch. 630), Now Sports Highlights, and the first 3 episodes of dramas from Now Chinese Drama (ch. 105). These content are free to watch in Hong Kong. It is not necessary to be a Now TV customer (who subscribed for Now TV paid content) to watch these content, but users are required to log in with Now ID.

2. What is Now ID? How to apply for a Now ID?

4K Subscription
1. What is a 4K subscription entitled for?
4K subscription entitles Now TV customers to enjoy 4K content exclusively over the Set-Top Box. For Now TV customers without a Set-Top Box, all 4K-supported content is accessible on the Now TV App/Website and Now TV Smart TV Apps.
All Now TV customers, whether with a Set-Top Box or not, can stream all 4K-supported content, including sports linear channels, On Demand, “Now Video Express” programs and some 4K-supported entertainment VOD (e.g. Now True, Now Studio) on the Now TV App/Website and Now TV Smart TV Apps. However, a 4K subscription is required to view 4K content via the Set-Top Box.
2. What 4K content can I find on Now TV, and where can I watch it?
All Now TV customers, whether with a Set-Top Box or not, can stream all 4K-supported content, including sports linear channels, On Demand, “Now Video Express” programs and some 4K-supported entertainment VOD (e.g. Now True, Now Studio) on the Now TV App/Website and Now TV Smart TV Apps. However, to view 4K content via the Set-Top Box, a 4K subscription is necessary.
For linear channels that support 4K quality playback, you will find a 4K label on its channel logo. For On Demand / “Now Video Express” content that supports 4K quality playback, you will find a 4K label on its detail page.
3. How can I set up video playback for 4K quality on Now TV App/Website?
To set up 4K video playback, follow the steps below:
1. Go to Now TV App/Website
2. In the “Settings”, set up “Streaming Quality” at “Best Quality – Up to 4K*”
3. For a smoother streaming experience, you may consider enabling the “Always Use Best Quality on Wi-Fi” option
Once the setup is complete, when you play a linear channel or on-demand video which 4K is available, it will automatically be displayed in 4K resolution.
*Important information about 4K quality playback:
• Support for 4K video varies among mobile devices and network bandwidth. If your device doesn’t support 4K, video will stream up to high bit-rate Full HD.
• Even if your mobile device doesn’t support 4K, casting 4K video to compatible 4K TV’s and devices is supported.
• 4K video is available for selected content and channels only.
• The quality of video may change as you watch subject to your network conditions.
4. How can I tell if the content supports 4K quality?
Linear channels offering 4K quality playback will display a 4K label on their channel logos. For On Demand / “Now Video Express” content that supports 4K quality playback, you will find a 4K label on its detail page.
5. How can I tell if the content I’m watching is in 4K quality?
If the video displays in 4K quality, a 4K UHD watermark will briefly display in the top left corner of the video player for around 5 seconds once you start playing it. However, the resolution may be downgraded to 1080p or lower based on device and network conditions.

6. What do I need to do to watch 4K content via Now TV App/Website?
You need to:
• Use a mobile data network or a LAN/Wi-Fi network that meets the minimum bandwidth requirements (25 Mbps) to enjoy an optimal viewing experience
• Now TV website:
A PC with a Windows 10 operating system that supports High Efficiency Video Coding (H.265), has an HEVC video extension installed and uses the Microsoft Edge browser (Chromium version) to play the 4K content. Please also use a TV set or computer monitor with 4K display resolution.
• Now TV app (mobile or tablet):
– Android: Designated mobile handset with 4K video playback capability. (4K video streaming varies significantly between handset models)
– iOS: There are no Apple mobile or tablet devices equipped with 4K screen yet, hence the iOS version of mobile app does not support 4K playback on Apple mobile or tablet devices.
• Cast screen function:
– Chromecast: Please use a device with Chromecast that supports High Efficiency Video Coding (H.265) to cast the content to a TV set or computer monitor with 4K display resolution.
– AirPlay: Please use your Apple device to cast the content to a Apple TV 4K or AirPlay-2-compatible 4K TV. Please go to Apple website for more details.
The stability and quality of video streaming depends on and will be affected by the condition of the devices, the internet bandwidths and internet connection speed, device compatibility and various factors. The quality of the video may change as you watch subject to your network conditions.
7. What do I need to do to watch 4K content via Now TV Set-Top Box?
You need to:
– Subscribe to the 4K Subscription service
– Have a Now TV Set-Top Box
8. What is 4K resolution? And what’s the difference between 4K Ultra HD and Full HD?
4K is an overarching term to describe visual resolution technology that offers more pixels than Full HD. 4K resolution is 3,840 x 2,160 and the number of pixels is four times that of Full HD, so picture quality is much better.
Manage Devices
1. What is “Manage Devices” about? What does it mean to have a maximum of 5 devices registered? What happens if I attempt to play content from a 6th device?
When you first watching / downloading with a device, it will be automatically registered and displayed in the “Manage Devices” section under Settings / My Account on the following platforms:
- Now TV App/Website (“Manage Devices” is under Settings)
- Now TV Smart TV Apps (“Manage Devices” is under Settings)
- Now TV Shop website (“Manage Devices” is under My Account)
Each Now ID account can register up to 5 devices at a time^. If you attempt to play or download content from a 6th device (having 5 devices already registered), you will be prompted to remove a device from the “Manage Devices” before being able to watch or download again. Please note that you can remove your registered devices up to 12 times per year.

2. How many times can I change the registered devices?
You are allowed to change your registered devices up to 12 times per year. Once you start using a device for watching or downloading, it becomes automatically registered, and the device registration quota is set to 12 times annually, starting from the date of the initial device registration.

For example, if you initially used a device for watching (namely firstly registered a device) on 1 September 2024, you will have 12 quotas to change your registered devices between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025. The device registration quota will reset to 12 times on 1 September 2025.
3. How many devices can I use for watching or downloading programme at the same time?
Each Now ID account can register up to 5 devices at a time^, and concurrently stream or download from up to 2 of those.

4. Do the “Multiple User Profile” under my account share the same registered devices limit mentioned above?
Yes. The above-mentioned registered devices limit applies to each Now ID account, including the “Multiple User Profile” (each Now ID account can have up to five profiles). Thus, the registered device limit is shared among all users under a single Now ID account, which allows for registering up to 5 devices at a time, changing devices up to 12 times a year, and concurrently streaming or downloading from up to 2 of those.

5. How can I remove a registered device after receiving the “Oops. Too Many Devices!” error message?
You can visit “Manage Devices” section in “Settings / My Account” through Now TV App/Website, Now TV Smart TV Apps (via QR code) and Now TV Shop website, where you will find a list of your registered devices, each with a name such as iPhone, Web, the model of the Android device and TV device, etc. Next to each registered device, you will see a “Remove” button.

To remove a registered device, simply click on the “Remove” button corresponding to the device you wish to remove, meanwhile it will consume the device registration quota once.
6. If I watch Now TV content using different browsers (e.g. Chrome and Safari) at the same time, will it be registered as 2 devices?
No, all web browsers would be registered as 1 device, with the device name “Web”.
Live Channels & On Demand
1. What types of live streaming channels are provided on “Now TV” App?
“Now TV” App provides many types of live streaming channels such as drama, entertainment/documentary, kids’ content, news/info and sports. For more details, please visit “TV Guide” on “Now TV” App.
2. What types of on demand programs are provided on “Now TV” App?
“Now TV” App provides many types of on-demand programs* such as drama, entertainment/leisure, kids’ content, news/info, sports and movies. For more details, please visit “On Demand” on “Now TV” App.
3. Why can’t I watch live channels or videos on “Now TV” App in some countries?
Some channels and videos cannot be watched outside Hong Kong because of licensing issues.
4. Do live streaming channels on “Now TV” App synchronize with live channels on TV? Are there any commercials?
Yes, live streaming channels on “Now TV” App do synchronize with live channels on TV. Although there may be a 30 to 40-second delay on mobile devices depends on network condition. Commercials are broadcast during commercial breaks, same as on TV.
5. When will videos be uploaded?
Videos will be uploaded within 24 hours after the first broadcast on TV.
6. When will videos be removed from “Now TV” App?
The off-shelf time varies with programs.

Multiple User Profile
1. What is the Multiple User Profile* function?
It allows you to keep track of your own “Watchlist”, “History” and “Favorite Channels”. See menus and recommendations personalized for you. One Now TV account serves up to five users.
2. How do I create/ edit/ copy a user profile?
Click the icon at the top after logging into your Now TV account, and follow instructions to create, edit or copy user profile.
3. How many users can I create?
Up to five users per Now TV account.
4. Can I lock my profile?
Profile lock is not supported in Multiple User Profile function. But you may use our “Parental lock” to prevent children from watching unauthorized programs containing adult content or specific channels, on-demand and recorded programs.
5. How do I switch between users?
Click the icon at the top after logging into your Now TV account, and select the relevant user.
6. I am asked to set up my 1st user upon login. Can I choose not to create the first user?
If you do not create the first user, you will share Watchlist, History & Favorite Channels with family members. You are highly recommended to start your personalized TV experience from the customized Home Screen, user language settings, favorite channel list, program recommendations and resuming program from where you left off.
7. If I do not create a profile now, will I lose all the History, Watchlist and Favorite Channels?
No. Your History, Watchlist and Favorite Channels will not be removed, even if you do not have a user profile. The system will keep your viewing history and records, until you create your first user. All your viewing history will transfer to your default User profile.
However, you will share Watchlist, History & Favorite Channels with your family members. You are highly recommended to start your personalized TV experience from the customized Home Screen, user language settings, favorite channel list, program recommendations and resuming program from where you left off.
8. What does the tick [✓] on the Home Screen mean?
Popular movies and shows from your channel subscriptions will be added to the home screen. You’ll see rows of your subscribed programs marked with a tick [✓]. Watch as much as you’d like.
* Multiple User Profile function is not available for free-viewing users (who have not subscribed to Now TV paid content).
Screen Casting
1. What is Screen Casting? Can I Screen Cast my content to a TV while watching through the “Now TV” App?
Press the “Screen Cast” button to screen cast content to a TV via the following devices:
- Your bound Now ID set top box
- AirPlay (available only on iOS) and Chromecast (available on iOS and Android)
You can also use HDMI Out to screen cast to a TV.
- iOS user: You can use an official Apple HDMI adapter to connect your Apple mobile or tablet devices to TV, and project the content from your devices onto a screen.
- Android user: HDMI Out is not supported.
Except for the UX2 interface users, you can send and retrieve the content back to Now TV from your casting device by pressing the “Screen Cast” button.
* Due to licensing issue, some contents are not available to be viewed on Now TV, Airplay and Chromecast.
2. Why can’t I Screen Cast my content to the TV?
Please make sure your casting device is turned on and properly connected.
- Now TV set top box: When the screen shows “Sorry… Your Now TV set top box appears to be OFF”, please turn it on and try again.
- AirPlay (iOS) and Chromecast (Android) devices: If unable to connect your device, or the screen shows “No devices found”, please check your device and try again. If the problem persists, please visit the Apple or Google website for more info on device connection problems.
- HDMI out: When your device does not recognize your screen, please unplug the HDMI cable and plug it in again.
3. Why can’t I play the content on my mobile device? What’s the meaning of “Watch on Now TV Box” in the program details?
Most of the content on Now TV can be played thru the Now TV app. However, some content, due to licensing issue, can only be viewed on TV.
My Now
1. What is My Now*?
You can see your Watchlist, get personalized recommendations, scheduled recordings and save shows at My Now. You’ll easily find what you last watched to pick up from where you left off. For more details, please visit User Guide of “Now TV” App.
2. What is Watchlist? How to add programs to Watchlist?
The Watchlist organizes all your favorite programs, whether from on demand catalogs or live TV channels. Simply press the “+” button to add to the Watchlist. For added “Watchlist” content the “+” button will change to orange color.
Remarks: For UX3 interface users, your “Watchlist” content from “Now TV” App will be synchronized with your set top box.
3. Where can I find the programs that added to “Watchlist”?
You can find your added programs in different sections of “Watchlist” in My Now, such as “All’ , “Watch Now”, “Coming Up” and “Ending Soon”.
4. How to remove a title from my “Watchlist”?
Press the orange “+” button. After the title is removed the “+” button will change back to white color.
5. If I remove a title from my Watchlist, will my scheduled TV recording / ”Save to watch later” be cancelled?
If you remove a title from Watchlist before it starts, “Save to Watch Later” will be cancelled automatically. TV Recording schedules will also be removed. If you remove the title from Watchlist after its premiere time, those recorded programs will be not affected.
Please note some TV programs added to the Watchlist will be automatically saved for you to watch later. Only applicable to UX3 interface user.
6. What is “Recommended”?
Starred programs are recommended just for you. “Recommended” programs will be recommended based on your viewing behavior. Your Watchlist also helps the accuracy of personalised recommendations, simply add your favorite programs to the Watchlist.
7. What is “Saved”? Where can I find the saved list? Where can I watch those programs? (only applicable to UX3 interface user)
Many TV programs added to the Watchlist will be automatically saved for you to watch later. You could also find your saved list at “Saved” under “My Now”. Please noted that Saved programs can only be viewed on TV.
8. How long will the programs be saved? (only applicable to UX3 interface user)
Programs can be saved for 7 days, though sometimes longer depending upon the agreements with channel providers. For saved programs can be only viewed on TV through your set top box.
9. How to delete “saved” program?
The “Saved” program will be automatically deleted after it expired. Saved programs can be saved for 7 days, though sometimes longer depending on the channel providers.
10. What is “History”?
View your history to resume on demand programs and select recently watched channels quickly. A channel will show up in your history after approximately 8 minutes of viewing. For UX3 interface user, your “History” on “Now TV” App will be synchronized with your set top box.
11. How to delete “History”?
You can press Home > Resume Viewing and delete recently watched history or at “My Now” > “History” press Edit and select content that you would like to delete.
* My Now is only available for Now TV customers who subscribed to Now TV paid content.
Downloads
1. Can I download the videos in “Now TV” App?
Some of the programs are eligible for download to your mobile device on “Now TV” App and view them in offline mode.
2. Can I download the content to any device?
You can maximum register up to 4 different devices to explicit content download for each Now ID.
3. Is there any expiration date for the downloaded content?
The downloaded content will expire and automatically be deleted after 7 days or your Now TV service plan end date whichever is the earliest. Video streaming is available for only one mobile device at the same time.
4. Where can I find the list of downloaded programs?
You can find the list of downloaded programs in your “Download” in “My Now”. Please note that not all programs can be downloaded because of licensing issues.
5. How can I know which programs are downloadable?
Please go to “On Demand” and select content category eg Movies, TV Series etc. Use “Filter” functions to search for “Downloadable” programs . Please be aware that because of the licensing issue, not all the contents are downloadable.
TV Recordings
1. What is TV recordings?
Users can use their Now TV App to record the program on TV. Press “Record” on Program details button to schedule recordings. This function is only applicable to UX3 interface user with a designated external Hard Disk Drive and also subscribed to TV Recording service.

2. What do I need in order to use TV Recordings?
You need:
- a Now One / Now TV STB Mode 6950;
- a Now Hard Disk Drive (HDD); (You have to buy HDD separately)
- a Now TV set-top-box upgraded to UX3 TV Interface; and

3. How do I record a TV series?
You can choose to record one episode or all upcoming episodes of a series. Enter “TV Guide”, select the program and press the “Record On TV” button on your Now TV App. You will then be asked to “Record the series or only the episodes”.

4. Where can I find my TV Recordings? Where can I find my scheduled recordings?
Please go to Now TV App > My Now > TV Recordings to search for recording or scheduled record list. For recorded program list, you can only find it at your Now Hard Disk (HDD) from your TV. Please note that The TV Recordings function is only available for UX3 interface user with a designated external Now Hard Disk and signed up for the TV Recordings service.
5. Can I playback recorded content on another device?
No. The recorded programs can only be shown on TV via your set top box.
6. How to delete TV Recordings program?
You could only delete the TV Recordings programs via your set top box > My Now > TV Recordings.
TV Guide
1. How many days of programs can the program guide show up to?
Now TV App can show up to 7 days of the program guide. You can find your subscribed channels through Now TV App.
2. What are the features of those buttons inside TV guide?
Screen Cast button(a triangle inside a rectangle box) = This channel or program can only be watched on TV.
Watch button(a triangle inside a circle) = This channel or program can be watched on mobile device.
Heart button = Press the “heart” button and set the channel to your favorite channel.
3. Why are some programs “Starred”?
Starred programs are recommended just for you. Recommendations will become sophisticated as the system learns more of your preferences.
4. What is Filter function?
You can filter your favourite content by Subscribed Channels, Favourite Channels, Watch on Device , and categories such as Movies, Asian Entertainment, Entertainment, Knowledge, Kids, News, Sports, Foreign Language etc.
5. How do I set my favorite channels?
You can press “Heart” button next to the channel number to mark as a favorite channel. For UX3 interface users, your Now TV App’s “Favorite Channel” will synchronize your set top box.
6. Where can I find “Favorite Channel”?
Your “Favorite Channel” is displayed at the top of the “Live Channels” section on the Home page. You can also find it on TV Guide by using “Filter” function or on TV Remote > Favorites. (The “Favorites” on TV Remote is only applicable for UX3 interface users)
7. How to use buttons in “Program Details” buttons?
Add to Watchlist: Press the “+” button to add a program to your Watchlist.
View other broadcasting time of the program: Press the “Clock” button to view other broadcasting time of the program.
See other programs available on demand from the channel: Press “More on Demand” button (3 dots inside a circle)
Use recording service: Press “Record On TV” to record one episode or all episodes of a series on the set top box.
(Recording function is only available for UX3 interface users with designated Hard Disk Drive and signed up for the TV Recording service. If a series is recorded, the system will also look for reruns of earlier episodes and record the episodes.)
TV Remote
1. Where can I find the remote control for Now TV App?
You could simply go to Menu > TV Remote. With the connection with your Now TV set top box, you can use this as remote to control your TV.
2. Why can’t I use some of the functions on the remote control in Now TV App?
Some of the functions on the remote control like “My Now”, “Record” and “+” are only available for UX3 interface users.
VR
1. What VR-compatible programs can I watch?
You can watch certain live content on CH331 using VR on Now TV.
2. Why is the “Watch Now” button dimmed?
A dimmed “Watch Now” button means the contents are not yet ready for VR.
3. What are the system requirements for VR mode?
Devices that support High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) (the support of VR mode varies significantly between devices), and a mobile data network or LAN/Wi-Fi network that satisfies the minimum bandwidth requirements (25Mbps) to deliver an optimal viewing experience.
Parental Control
1. What is “Parental Control”? I have a family member under the age of 18. How can I restrict access to adult content?
Parental Control prevents your children from watching unauthorized programs which contain adult content. You must not authorize persons below 18 years of age to view programs which contain adult content.
Before you watch a program which contains adult content each time, the system will verify your Now TV customer identity and ask you to input your Now ID for verification. Please secure your Now ID password and do not disclose to anyone who is below 18 years of age.
2. What is the function of the “Parental Lock” on the video player menu bar?
When you screen cast the program with “Parental Lock” to a TV, you need to key in your parental lock password to your set to box to authorize the program to play on your TV.
Video Express
1. What is Now Video Express?
Now Video Express provides the latest movies from Hollywood, Asian and also world class concerts and operas on a pay-per-view basis. Unlimited viewing within 48 hours (except selected programs) following purchase and viewers can pause, fast forward or rewind a program anytime.
2. How many times can I view a program purchased from Now Video Express?
You can view the program as many times you like within 48 hours (except selected programs) of purchase.
3. How many program types are provided by Now Video Express?
Apart from Hollywood and Asian movies, Now Video Express also provides foreign language drama, concerts and opera.
4. Is there a fixed term for purchasing Now Video Express program(s)?
No.
5. Can I view Now Video Express program(s) on my personal computer, when the program(s) are purchased from the TV portal (with the remote control)?
You can use your connected personal computer to view your chosen Now Video Express program any time within the 48-hours period by using your Now ID, starting from the time you place an order for the viewing of such a program from the TV portal. 6. Can my Now TV set top box be connected to more than one personal computer in order to view the Now Video Express programs purchased?

Yes, you can view the Now Video Express program on both your online personal computer with Now ID connection # and the TV portal (Ch.106) at the same time.
8. Can I purchase / view Now Video Express program(s) on different mobile devices/computer?

- For Now TV set top box users: Purchased Now Video Express program(s) are available for viewing on the TV + 1 mobile device^ (Smartphone or Tablet) or 1 personal computer^.
- For users with no Now TV set top boxes: Purchased Now Video Express programs(s) are available for viewing on Now TV Smart TV App(s) + 1 personal computer* when the program(s) are purchased on Now TV Smart TV App(s) or on Now TV Website. If you purchase Now Video Express program(s) from the Now TV App, you can only view them on the device where you rented them.

Yes, you can select any available audio for viewing. (Please note: only some programs provide different audio).

1. What is Now Dollars*?
Now Dollars can be used to purchase On Demand pay-per-view programs. Customers can use it to purchase Now Video Express (Ch 106) programs and AV PPV (Ch 900) program(s) for viewing on a prepaid basis, and they can enjoy latest programs at a discounted rate*.
2. How many denominations can Now Dollars be purchased?
Now Dollars comes in 3 prepaid values: $100, $200 and $300.
3. What is the validity period of Now Dollars?
- $100 Now Dollars is valid for three months.
- $200 Now Dollars is valid for six months.
- $300 Now Dollars is valid for six months.
4. Can I use Now Dollars immediately after its purchase?
Customers can use Now Dollars immediately after purchasing via the Now TV portal or nowplayer.now.com. Now Dollars is valid for three or six months (depending on its value), starting from the date of purchase. Any unused Now Dollars value will be forfeited after expiry of the validity period.
5. If my Now Dollars expires tomorrow, and I top up Now Dollars today, will there be two different validity periods for my purchased Now Dollars?
No. Now Dollars has a validity period of three or six months (depending on the Now Dollars value). If you top up your Now Dollars value before the validity period expires, the validity period will be extended for an additional three or six months (depending on the Now Dollars value of your top up), starting from the date of the top up.
6. Can my Now Dollars be refunded if my subscription to Now TV is terminated for whatever reason?
Your Now Dollars will be forfeited if your subscription to Now TV is terminated for whatever reason.
7. How can I check the expiry date and remaining balance or top up my Now Dollars value?

9. How will you charge me if I buy Now Dollars?
You will be billed for the purchase of Now Dollars in your next Now TV bill, following purchase.

If you buy Now Dollars, you will be given additional Now Dollars. For example, we will give additional $10 Now Dollars if you buy $100 Now Dollars. This translates into a discount of 10% when you pay to view your programs.
